Dear Dr Robin
My name is Eti Libman Offaim, and I work at the Israeli Ministry of Justice.
I am the director of a unique project that examines and promotes the rights of crime victims. The project focuses on victims of sexual and violence crimes. As part of my project,
I read your article "
The Legal Response to the Employment Needs of Domestic Violence Victims". The article was very interesting for me, since in Israel there is no legislation that deals with the employer's obligations towards an employee who is the victim of a crime.
I would like to learn more about the legislative process in the United States and how the legislation is implemented. And, among other things, I am interested to understand whether this is an effective tool for helping victims?
Furthermore, as part of the project, on September 21, 2002 I am organizing a seminar on the rights of crime victims in Israel, with the participation of
many experts.
During the seminar,
there will be a part of "TED talks",
which will deal with possibilities for developing models to assist crime victims in Israel (Each talk will be about 10 minutes). I would be grateful if we could discuss
the possibility of hosting you for a short conversation (via Zoom) at the seminar.
I look forward to hearing from you
Sincerely
Eti Libman Offaim
