Dear Michael,
Currently, the only HC measurement I have is for the Nb2SC sample. Following your email I recalled that the Nb2SC pellet for HC was cracked/partially broke after we tried to place
it on the sample holder. Please see attached picture. This might cause to inhomogeneous heat distribution in the sample during the measurement. I made another pressed pellet from the Nb1.5Ti0.5SC powder, and the plan is to repeat the HC measurement,
hopefully this time we will manage to keep it solid on the sample holder. In addition, I will measure the susceptibility VS temperature of Nb1.5Ti0.5SC and Ti2SC once again.
I will update you with the new results.
All the best,
Asaf
Dear Asaf and El'ad,
Thanks for the update! I think we shouldn't compare to Nb2AlC system, we should compare to Nb2SC which is well known to be super conductor (one of few MAX phases
that is superconductor), please find the attached papers. The Tc of Nb2SC is supposed to be around 4-5 K, which is not very far from what you have in Figure 1 for the low temperature area. The question we are trying to answer is what is the effect of adding
Ti on the electronic/magnetic behavior of Nb2SC.
Did you measure heat capacity of any other samples beside Nb2SC? It will be great to see the effect of adding Ti on heat capacity.
If you wish, we can schedule a zoom meeting to discuss the results and the most efficient way to move forward..
Best Regards,
Michael

Dear Michael,
Sorry for the delayed response.
Yes, I did measured, on 3 samples: Nb2SC, Nb1.5Ti0.5SC, Ti2SC. I also measures the heat capacity of Nb2SC. I will arrange the data and send you a summary report .

Dear Asaf,
Did you get a chance to run SQUID for the pure samples?
Best Regards,
Michael

Dear Michael,
I hope you are doing well.
The NPD and magnetic measurements results of the first two sample batches (Nb2SC and Nb1.5T0.5SC) are summarized in the attached report.
The new samples will be measured with the SQUID magnetometer during August.
Please let me know if you have any questions/comments.
Best regards,
Asaf
