Eitan et al., 

We are starting to threaten to get neutrons at Lujan.  At best, we will have a ~6 week run cycle, rather than the planned 6 months. Obviously, we will not be able to run everything we planned. That said, your experiment fits in that it is very easy for us to run.  I wanted to see if you wanted to send us samples and/or plan to send someone out? Personally, from a SMARTS point of view I think it is probably not worth the effort to come here, but I won't make that decision for you. Right now, I see Elad is the only one approved for a visit. Asaf's is in draft state. I am not sure we can get approval in two months, but we can try.  Maybe Sven has submitted some visit approval requests without my name and i cannot see them.

I will talk to my team leader to see if I can travel. If we travel, we should have a week or so of agenda to avoid flying around the globe for 2 days? Need that agenda for the trip request.

Same statement as Don's for SMARTS applies to HIPPO, waiting for beam, then we can collect data. For HIPPO, visit after data collection is more useful.

We are still a month from getting neutrons, and still uncertain at that. I forgot to send you the invitation letter, but will send it with open dates from mid-Nov through Dec 21, if that is still helpful.  Your measurements are high on our priority list, but as we bleed more beamtime, even high priority measurements are starting to get pinched. 

I will also save the March date.  Does it make sense to spend a couple days working with Gennadi?
