Dear Eyal,

Stéphane Baude told me that the HLSC is now settled on March 15, p.m. So I hope it is OK on your side to hold the preparatory meeting on March 11, p.m.

We have to precise the exact timetable, I suppose. On my side, it would be great if we can start around 13.00, French time. Let me know if it is convenient on the IAEC side.

-        Ph. Moisy will be giving a lecture on that day, so he will ask Israel Zilberman to present the status.
He is quite happy, with 2 recent publications: one accepted and one submitted waiting for the referees.

-        Jean-Luc Béchade has also some commitment. He wrote me the following text for the meeting.

The last interaction took place on 02/20/2020 and aimed to set up proton irradiation on JANNuS-Saclay on aluminum alloys. A proposal was expected, with technical exchanges to determine the feasibility and the best conditions, but the health COVID 19 crisis interrupted the process. The JANNUS installation has been shut down since the lockdown in France mid-March 2020 and will restart early March 2021. In 2021 the priority will be to carry out the entire postponed experimental program.

New exchanges may be undertaken in order to assess the technical feasibility of the targeted experiments at JANNuS. A proposal might then be submitted through the Emir&A framework, which would be carried out in 2022 if accepted by the scientific committee.

Israel seems to be quite ahead of every country in terms of vaccines!

Congratulations and take care.

Best regards,

Jean-Yves
