Excellency,

As you are aware, the IAEA Director General has recently launched the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) in an effort to encourage young women to pursue careers in nuclear science and technology, nuclear safety and security, or non-proliferation.

The MSCFP will provide scholarships for up to 100 selected applicants annually, subject to availability of funds. It will cover university tuition fees up to 10,000 euros per year and living expenses based on the cost of living for the university’s location, up to 10,000 euros per year. Scholarships will be awarded for up to 2 years of study for Master’s Degrees in nuclear-related fields (examples of related fields are listed here).

I am glad to inform you that the application process for the MSCFP 2020 cycle was opened on 14 August and that the deadline for applications is 11 October 2020. Female candidates can apply for scholarships for academic years 2020/2021 and 2021/2022.

To ensure broad dissemination of the information, I would greatly appreciate if this communication is shared with your relevant national Authority for further distribution among universities in your countries and potential candidates.

More information on MSCFP can be found on www.iaea.org/MSCFP including detailed instructions on how to apply.

Accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration.

Mr Mikhail CHUDAKOV
