Hi,
I have annotated the proofs online, including your feedback and some extra. Please find attached the annotation report.
The most important revisions to note (and keep in mind for future work):
1)
I asked to replace Figs. 1 & 2 with new ones, mainly because incomplete information in the axes’ titles (in addition to some other minor changes). Attached are the new figure
files. I have two issues with Fig. 1: (a) The title of the y-axis included “(arbitrary shift)”. I checked in the Excel datasheet and found its value and how it was used in the calculation. However, it is both uncommon to include something like this in the
axis’ title, and there is no explanation anywhere in the paper of the reason for this shift. I therefore moved it to the figure caption, to attract less attention. (b) It is very uncommon to present in journal publications the thermograms in units of microvolt/micrograms.
The most common way is mW/mg (heat flow). When using volt units, it should be mV*s/mg), but as I mentioned above – it is less common. The above discussion made me use, intentionally,
DSC as the parameter in the title of the y-axis. I ran a thorough literature survey and found it common both in PPT presentation of calorimeters’ manufacturer and journal articles. The conversion between units should be straight forward in the DSC software.
Bottom line: For future publications we should present the data in mW/mg units. This will also make our results easily comparable with others’.
2)
In the X-ray diffractograms (Fig. 2), if we write “Intensity (a.u.)” on the y-axis, we should better write “2q
(deg)” (and not just 2q) on the x-axis.
3)
Ref. 65 – they made JOM “J. Occup. Med.” Instead of “Journal of Metals”…
J
Thank you for a very nice collaborative work.
Best,
Noam

Shalom Noam,
I have finished reviewing the PDF file.
Mine is attached as well.
Nissim: Please send me the Origin files of Figs. 1 and 2. Both should be revised.
Files were resent to you tonight. Please see my comment bellow regarding the DSC before you make changes.
Page 5/11, line 56: Please check carefully the sentence “A similar transformation is not apparent in both non-hydrogenated alloys.” Maybe it should be “both hydrogenated alloys”? (the discussion from line 50 has already dealt with the non-hydrogenated alloys”.
This is correct and seems very clear to me.
In lines 50 we describe the Fig 1a (all non-hydrogenated samples).
In line 51-53 we explain that non-hydrogenated CP-Ti (in fig. 1a) shows a transformation effect there for our system is sensitive to phase transitions.
In line 53-56 we explain that both non-hydrogenated Ti6Al4V alloys (also in fig. 1a) do not show transformation effect.
Hydrogenated is discussed later in fig. 1b.
I made only few other corrections in the text. I look forward to receiving your inputs so I can wrap-up.
Thanks. We will wait to receive Eyal’s and Eitan’s remarks.
Thank you and Shabbat Shalom.

These proofs has just arrived.
Nissim, Eyal and Eitan: please run among you and send Brian a combined corrected version which he can then work on and forward to me for completion of the process. We should submit within 48 hours, if possible…
