The
National Ignition Facility (NIF) and Jupiter Laser Facility (JLF) User Groups will host a joint meeting
Tuesday, February 21, 2023, through Thursday, February 23, 2023, at the Bella Rosa Event Center at Garré Winery in Livermore, CA. Meeting website can be found

As usual, there will be a fascinating technical program, an exciting social event and tours of both facilities will be offered.

Please note important dates concerning the NIF & JLF User Group Meeting:
- Student and Post-Doc. Support:
- Deadline to Submit: Applications for student and postdoc support are due by Wednesday, December 7, 2022.
- Qualifications: Support is available to U.S. citizens at U.S. institutions, U.S. citizens studying or working abroad, and then all other student or postdoc applicants, in that order.
- Students and postdocs employed by LLNL may not apply.
- Requirements:
- A letter of recommendation from your advisor (to be submitted with the Student Support Application).
- Participation in the meeting and discussions.
- The awardee will need to present a poster during the meeting.
- Submission: Students and postdocs requesting support must fill out the attached application, attach their letter of recommendation and return them both by email to the NIF User Office (nifuseroffice@llnl.gov) by the deadline.
- Non-U.S. Citizens:
- Registration: Non-U.S. citizens requesting NIF/JLF tours must register before Wednesday, December 7, 2022. Website coming soon…
- Tours: If you’re a non-U.S. citizen meeting attendee and know you’d like a tour of one of the facilities, please contact the NIF User Office (nifuseroffice@llnl.gov) and let us know asap. We’ll start the paperwork now.
