Subject : Abstract deadline extension: "18.01.01: Materials in Extremes" FT at APS March 2020

Dear Vitaly,

APS abstract submission system has been experiencing some technical difficulties and was presumably down on Friday morning. Therefore, APS has extended the abstract submission until Wednesday, October 30 5 p.m. EDT.

If you have not submitted the abstract yet, you have an opportunity to do so. If you did submit your abstract, please check whether you received a confirmation email from APS. We suggest to contact APS at  abs-help@aps.org in case you experience technical problems with submission.

Thank you for your participation in our focus session "18.01.01: Materials in Extremes" at APS March 2020 meeting.

Dear Vitaly,

If you have submitted the abstract or not planning to come to APS March 2020, please ignore this message.

If you do plan to participate in our "Materials in Extremes" focus session and have not submitted your abstract yet, today is the last chance. Deadline is 5 p.m. EDT.

See you in Denver in March 2020.

Dear Vitaly,

Less then one week is left to submit contributed abstracts to the focus topic (FT)  "Materials in Extremes: Bridging Simulations and Experiment" at the APS 2020 March Meeting, which will be held in Denver, CO on March 2-6, 2020. The deadline is this Friday, October 25.

It is the first time this FT is organized by our APS Topical Group on Shock Compression of Condensed Matter (GSCCM), therefore, your participation is of critical importance to sustain these sessions at future March Meetings.

We expect a very interesting and intellectually stimulating gathering of key people, including you, working in the area of materials at extreme conditions, who will discuss recent advances in several hot and rapidly developing cross-cutting areas including  static and dynamic compression,theory/simulations/experiment, various materials classes, and phenomena.

Several practical suggestions:

1. Submit your abstract using this link  https://www.aps.org/meetings/march/abstracts.cfm

2. Important: use a proper sorting category: 18.01.01 Materials in Extremes: Bridging Simulation and Experiment (GSCCM). There is a similar sorting category 16.01.01 which is different from ours, although it covers similar topics.

3. According to APS rules, only one contributed abstract can be submitted by you as a first author, although other abstracts from your group or collaboration can be submitted by you with a different first author (your collaborator) listed during the submission.

We look forward to receiving your abstracts and your active participation in our Materials in Extremes FT at APS 2020 March meeting.
