Dear Attendees of the 2022 Technical Meeting on Nuclear Forensics,

We regret to inform you that we have been notified of a suspected positive COVID-19 case among one of the in-person attendees of the 2022 Technical Meeting on Nuclear Forensics. The participant who tested positive remained masked with an FFP-2 mask throughout the week, and maintained physical distancing throughout. Please note that, according to current Austrian COVID-19 regulations, anyone who has received three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Austria is not considered to be a close contact of a suspected COVID-19 case. Therefore, quarantine is not required for any attendee of the meeting (other than the person who tested positive). The Technical Meeting programme will continue according to schedule for all in-person and virtual attendees.

However, to that end, we would like to inform you of several important pieces of information regarding participation in the final day of the Technical Meeting.

Resources on COVID-19 testing in Vienna can be found here. We remind all participants that testing for COVID-19 can be accessed in several locations throughout Vienna. The closest walk-in testing location to the VIC can be found at the Austria Center Vienna. Information on accessing the walk-in testing center can be found here.

We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause to participants. We continue to look forward to your participation in the final day of the Technical Meeting, whether virtually or in-person.

Sincerely,

-The CFS Unit, NSNS
